Wildflowers of Bradlaugh Fields #10 Lesser Celandine

This flower is in the buttercup family which is exactly how it looks, only instead of the familiar five petals it can have up to a dozen. Its shiny little heart-shaped leaves often appear early in the year in masses, especially on wetter or shadier ground, but by the Summer all trace of the plant above ground will have disappeared until the next year.
