Thursday 31st March: Wildlife Trust work party. The Trust offer lifts from their Lings HQ, leaving there at 9am, so probably arriving at Bradlaugh from 9.30 onwards, but you can also just come to the reserve directly. Conservation Days at Bradlaugh Fields? Please do get in touch via the Barn if you’d like to volunteer. First Saturday afternoon of the month starting at 12.30, after Nature Club. Already we have achieved good work spreading wood-chips to prevent mud and improve access to the Nature Reserve, as well as removing a sizeable area of invasive blackthorn scrub.

Wednesday 5th August: Mowing and cutting small scrub on the Scrub Field and Orchid Bank on this lovely reserve.
Thursday 6th August: Mowing an area of the Hills and Hollows to reduce the dominance of rank grasses.

Sunday June 14th: Afternoon walk around the Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve at Bradlaugh Fields, including the Quarry Field, “Scrub” Field and Orchid Bank, led by Jeff Ollerton, professor of biodiversity at Northampton University, talking about their work on flowers and pollination. Meet by the entrance at the top of Aintree Road at 1.30 pm. No charge, all welcome.
Saturday 25th: Spring Clean litter-pick. Meet at the top of Aintree Road, entrance near the the Quarry Field at 10.30am, continues until 12.30.
